Modern life causes many people to experience isolation resulting from personal situations along with social requirements and excessive technology use. Prolonged social isolation results in mental health problems as people experience depression as well as anxiety.

Social isolation disrupts access to meaningful social bonds that serve as essential elements for maintaining emotional health. Loneliness intensifies because human beings need the support of friends, family and anyone they share interactions with. Social detachment causes depression that eliminates emotional interest for activities and creates deep feelings of insignificance. People who experience isolation tend to develop anxiety symptoms because they confront numerous fears and psychological uncertainties along with feelings of judgment by others.

The relationship between these three—isolation, depression, and anxiety—is cyclical. People who experience anxiety tend to disconnect from social contacts therefore becoming isolated and that isolation produces depressive symptoms. People who become more isolated find it increasingly difficult to ask for support until their distress builds itself into an uninterrupted cycle. Bringing an end to this cycle needs deliberate work. Making progress begins through simple steps including contacting somebody you trust or being physically active and obtaining professional assistance because they provide substantial impact. People who learn new skills through activities or service work or schedule-focused activities discover better ways to manage their lives.

Support exists as a pathway out of the feeling of entrapment brought by isolation. Starting any connection journey through therapy or social communities or reconnecting with friends results in a transformative effect. People do not need to face their difficulties independently.

Wholeheartedly,
