A recent study by the University of San Francisco researcher Michael A. Freeman stated that, approximately one half (49%) of entrepreneurs suffer from at least one form of mental health condition during their lifetimes. These include ADHD, bipolar disorder and a host of addictive disorders.
Freeman’s research has shown that start-up founders are:
- Twice as likely to suffer from depression
- Six times more likely to suffer from ADHD
- Three times more likely to suffer from substance abuse
- 10 times more likely to suffer from bipolar disorder
- Twice as likely to have a psychiatric hospitalisation
- Twice as likely to have suicidal thoughts

Let us face it, entrepreneurship is really- hard! And it is the hardest when you are all alone, with little to no support. Let us face it, sometimes our communities misunderstand us as entrepreneurs, but there is hope!
Our word for the Year 2025 as a Foundation is: Transformation.
We acknowledge the hardships that we as entrepreneurs go through to bring our visions to become a reality.
As we partake of this journey, we invite you to join us in reflecting on your own transformation. It is often said that stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. To have a Year of Transformation which is an extreme, radical change- in this case positive change, we must integrate a new way of doing things differently- in order to have a different result!
We are in the third month of the year, 2025 may have hard a rough start but may have a different outcome when we do the following:
1. When we prioritize our mental wellbeing so as to flourish within and without- including in our businesses. You can do this by first scheduling a free consult with us- more details at the end of this post.
2. When we are willing to slow down so as to have a clear vision. Healing may feel slow and derailing in the beginning, but often produces amazing results when we invest time in it. It may be slow or fast, but it is important to note that no matter the pace, our wellbeing is priority!
3. We are willing to seek help and emotional support by embracing vulnerability by finding safe spaces to be and to vent. Our weaknesses, when embraced, become super strengths. Reaching out to a therapist, consultant, family or just one friend may be what you need to have a paradigm shift- in your work and business.
And so, as the year is still ripe, let us embrace Entrepreneurs Mental Health and Wellness interventions which is going to set us up for life's and business success, wellness and longevity.
At the end of the day, you are more important than your work or business! Reach out for support Now!
